Reporting form

Context

Due to incoming DSA regulations (EU legislation to regulate digital platforms and ensure transparency), we had to have a reporting form implemented across all platforms. I was brought into this on December 15 and was told we needed it before the end of the year.

🔎  I set up informational meetings with relevant design leads, designers, and project managers (primarily our products most at risk for fraud and illegal activity) to get any research insights they had.

Results

In this company, the UX Writing team is not embedded into the product teams. Instead, the three of us work almost as an external agency, proactively deciding which teams needs us most at any given time. Because of this, we do not have visibility on how every project develops. However, regulations were met and the form was applied to all brands and platforms (web/app). The messaging team shared that they had 480 reported users in the first month, streamlining fraud and scam in the chat app. Customer support shared that they had 7% less calls once the form went live in all our platforms.
