A Writer of All Trades
I was hired as a Brand Copywriter at the startup building the language learning app known as Drops. Once I built brand guidelines and worked with social media and growth marketing to establish a recognizable brand, I started digging my pen into anthing related to writing, both on the marketing and product side. Here you can see some of the projects I led and executed.
1. Te Reo Māori Language Week Campaign
In 2022 we did a campaign for Māori Language Week, a week-long celebration of Māori language and culture. I wrote copy for a blog post, B2B comms, and CRM comms. I also conducted two client interviews with two of our B2B clients based in New Zealand, and wrote case studies outlining their experiences.

2. B2B Website Redesign
I collaborated with our Head of Sales and external SEO experts to develop the Drops at Work website. I was responsible for writing all the copy, including SEO-friendly headlines and forms. I've included a sample here, as the app was purchased and the live site is no longer available.

3. Ukrainian Refugee Program
Working with our Ukrainian team members, we were the first language learning app to make free Premium memberships available to Ukrainian refugees, using a unique captcha that only Ukrainians would understand. We later added Ukrainian as a UI language in record time. I wrote launch comms and blogs, and later organized a collaboration with an NGO called Ukraine Pride.
4. Pride Courses
In 2022, we became the first language learning app to offer courses on LGBTQ+ vocabulary and culture, helping people studying abroad and families with language barriers across generations. I wrote launch comms, the landing page, a glossary of terms, and blog posts.
